Jason was born and raised in suburban Victoria, where he caught the entrepreneurial bug early, launching small businesses while studying engineering and business at university. That hands-on experience give him a taste of how relentless and rewarding small business ownership can be.
Since moving to Western Australia in 2014, Jason's worked across mining, energy, manufacturing, and professional services - first as a process engineer, then as a business advisor, and most recently as the founder of Untap Strategy, a boutique advisory firm that works with owners of mid-sized businesses to improve operations, lift profitability, and prepare for a successful transition - whether that means stepping back or selling entirely.
All of this places him in a unique position to help sellers improve the value of their business when they sell, and buyers to get a business that's easy to operate.
Having built and run businesses himself, Jason understands the pressure of wearing too many hats and making high-stakes decisions with limited time or clarity. That empathy, combined with a background in systems thinking and leadership, is what shapes his approach: practical, structured, and grounded in what works on the shop floor as well as in the boardroom.
Outside of work, Jason's usually shooting hoops, playing guitar, losing balls on the golf course, or spending time with his wife Amy and his new baby boy - his favourite role by far.
Jason believes every owner deserves the option to exit on their terms - and that starts with building a business that doesn’t rely solely on them to survive or thrive. We have six offices in five states, and over 50 plus specialised, qualified business brokers on our team
